Angry Thank you for updating Guildwars.com

United Kingdom PC Zone 180 - May March 29, 2007

The Guild Wars website states that this issue includes an article/feature on Guild Wars 2 and includes an asura miniature. This is a lie. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Guild Wars 2. As this has been out for a week already I would have thought that ArenaNet would have actually bothered to update the listings, they didnt, therefore I assumed it did.

I was very dissapointed to find that I have just spent money on a pointless magazine that has no relevancy to me.

Please update your website before others get their hopes up and purchase this magazine.

Many Regards,

Says it has information and *May* include the code. Never said definitely will. It says that about the April 26th one

Yes, it says *May* and as it hasn't been updated and the magazine has been out for nearly a week some people may think it does contain the information.

These tables are correct. The top table lists magazine issues that have the Asura (and may or may not have other GW:EN / GW2 related articles). This table lists the June issue of PC Zone as being the one you need to obtain.

The bottom table lists additional magazines that are definitely having GW:EN and GW2 articles. They *do not*, however, have the Asura. Some of these magazines might later have the Asura (for example the Australian PC PowerPlay magazine is now listed twice as they will offer the Asura in the issue after their GW:EN/GW2 feature).

Edit:

Please see the European tables I linked above, where the text prefacing the second table states "the following magazine issues do not currently offer the Asura miniature..." Also, the sentence beneath the table needs to be read in full (I've highlighted the most important phrase):

Quote:
Some of these media partners may also offer the Asura Miniature, but are not yet confirmed to be doing so at the time of publication. We will update this list when more information is available.
We've updated the lists several times since the original publication, including adding Australian and Bulgarian magazine issues to the top table. Please also note that the June issue of PC Zone is listed in the top table as definitely having the Asura miniature.

I hope this helps.

Why don't you simply put, "THESE MAGAZINES LISTED DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE THE ASURA MINIATURE, WHICH IS PROBABLY THE REASON YOU CLICKED "ASURA MINIATURE REVEALED" so that people understand more clearly. As you can see two people have misread this information and I'm sure we are not the only ones.

So please update the page and make it more clear.

Thank You.

What? the one with unreal 3 on the cover? yeah that one doesn't have mini pet. The list on GW.com did say 26th april didn't it? But I was rather disappoint with the article in the pc zone, only half a page for each GW:EN and GW2 and a bit of concept arts. Don't want to say anything but PC Zone and PC Gamer UK are a bit on the wow side really.

So yeah if you only after the mini pet wait for the next issue on sale 26th april.

I think the question is, why the inconsistency to the GuildWars.com site versus the European? Looking at the euro site it's very clear which one has the mini asura because of the descriptions below each section and which one does not. The GuildWars.com site, which I imagine the majority of players visit including euro, is not very clear with no description on whether the issue will include the Asura besides a * and blurb at the bottom that is vague:

The GW main site says that PC Zone June edition *will* have it. I dunno why it would be listed twice, but it does have the correct information available. While the discrepancy is unfortunate, it could boil down to an honest mistake - not a malicious attempt to force UK gamers to buy two magazines.

Not worth getting 'disgusted' over imo.

So you bought the wrong issue... Ok, no need to be melodramatic about it, the 6 page UT3 review was awesome, along with some great reviews and previews...

The intent of the two tables is to make sure that those GW players who want to read as much as possible about the forthcoming GW:EN and GW2 know which issues to look for. Some magazines have chosen to spread the content across multiple issues for a variety of reasons (for example tight deadlines, or a late decision to offer the Asura). In these cases the magazines are listed twice, with the Asura issue in the top table and the other issue with information in the bottom table.

It's regrettable that some people appear to have misinterpreted our intentions with the tables, and we're sorry that's occurred.

I got caught by this trap too. Of course we will be blamed for not "correctly" reading the website. If it said in black and white YES this one will have it, NO this one won't then we wouldn't have this problem.

i looked a the tables on the eu site and the information appeared to be very clear to me, the may issue out in march would have some information and NO asura. The June issue, out in april, would have an article and the asura.

I considered the may issue but on looking at the packaging which made no reference at all to GW i realised the article would not be worth the expense.

I will be waiting for the June issue.

It would also appear that since the issue you "wasted" your money on did infact have a very small article on GW that you are incorrect in stating it had nothing at all to do with GW.

Wow people. Because you can't take the time to put 2 & 2 together... jeez does EVERYTHING need to be 100% spelled out & spoon fed to you? Holy cow..

As phil pointed out, they did their part, and they did it just fine.
